What you will do

  • Remote support and operation of customer environments in the area of storage, backup and virtualisation (VMware, Xenserver).
  • Incident handling including communication by telephone and in the SNOW ticket system in compliance with agreed SLAs
  • 2nd level support/operation/administration in the area of storage, backup and VMware
  • Support of, and continuous training in, the marketable supported products
  • Carrying out care and maintenance activities on the customer environment for the task area of storage, backup and virtualisation
  • Evaluation of escalations and appropriate processing
  • Support in the further development of concepts and processes
  • Willingness for further training: NetApp, HP and/or virtualisation certifications
  • Cooperation with colleagues from other departments in operations and support
  • Ticketer opening with the manufacturers
  • On-call duty in the 2nd level area

Who you are

  • At least completed training as an IT specialist for system integration or comparable training
  • Work experience in the above-mentioned area of responsibility is desirable
  • Knowledge in several of the following areas is helpful: server/storage hardware and software, in the administration or support and operation of storage and backup environments
  • In-depth knowledge and operational experience with virtualised environments
  • Experience in the break & fix process desirable
  • Ability to work in a team, reliability and an independent way of working round off your profile
  • Very good English and German language skills
