What you will do

  • ​​​​​​Responsible for the administration of and monitoring environment
  • Monitor servers and storage, as well as applications
  • Defining and tracking thresholds, proactively alerting
  • Maintains and develops monitoring checks and documentation
  • Generate automatically reports out of system information and logs
  • Utilize tools to perform trend analysis on systems and problems, to identify root causes
  • Monitor Events, Errors, and debug log analysis for creating problem reports and root cause analysis
  • Provide on demand support in case of internal and external audits
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks
  • Executing patch management for the monitoring environment and supporting the routine maintenance windows
  • Planning and implementation of Changes according to ITIL
  • Automation and documentation of processes
  • Close cooperation with colleagues in other areas to further optimize customer’s infrastructures
  • Close cooperation with our vendors and partners
  • Evaluation of new products and solutions
  • Work On Duty 24/7

Who you are

  • ​​​​​​Demonstrated expertise (5+ years) in managing the monitoring infrastructure (Zabbix, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus)
  • Demonstrated experience in creating automated as well as manual reports within Zabbix / Grafana / Graylog
  • Good experience in performing design / implementation / upgrades related task for the monitoring infrastructure
  • Good experience in writing scripts on Windows/Unix platforms
  • Experience with configuring interfaces between the components of the Monitoring service and the data sources for it (e.g. CMDB, MariaDB database, text files) and setting up interfaces to the notification and ticketing systems
  • Experience working with ITIL processes
  • Availability to resolve urgent problems outside of business hours
  • Comfortable with technical writing in order to produce documentation about infrastructure design, quality standards, testing procedures, and other essential project information
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Customer orientation, problem solving, attention to detail, high sense of ownership, stress-resistance
  • Effective communication / Presentation skills
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
